Formerly called the PT111 G2C, the Taurus G2C is available in 9mm and .40 S&W and comes in several finishes., and more items.
Taurus guns are fine quality. Some don’t like them because the trigger action is not as smooth as a S&W. Any decent gunsmith can fix this very economically. Similarly, is a Taurus 357 Magnum a good gun?
Very few guns currently sold are really bad, not anymore. Nothing like the Raven/Jennings type “junk guns” from 30 years ago. Taurus firearms are however more likely to encounter problems than a Glock or Beretta for example. The quality and speed of service from Taurus, in spite of the lifetime warranty has also often been problematic.
I believe a new Taurus semiautomatic is a reliable gun after you’re familiar with the one you own. I carry a Taurus 809. I have put a couple of hundred rounds through it. That doesn’t sound like much in comparison to some of these guys.
Are Taurus Firearms as bad as they are made out to be?
It’s a crap shoot, honestly. When my best friend and I started shooting, we both bought a Taurus. They were cheap and we didn’t know much about guns at the time. My friend’s Taurus is reliable as an ox.
Very accurate and a great gun for snakes or as a back-up for Elk or Black Bear hunting. Also have 5 Taurus revolvers and have never had any type of malfunction with any of them. My carry gun is a Taurus Millenium II in 9 mm. Another great gun from Taurus.
Is Taurus a good brand to stick to?
This is where Taurus proves that its a brand worth sticking to. Worked in Firearms and a self-avowed gun nut. All manufacturers have the occasional QC issue, especially early in a product’s lifecycle.
Are Forjas Taurus guns any good?
When it comes to weapon manufacturers, Forjas Taurus might be the most unconventional brand out there. When I think of foreign arms, I think of Italy, Germany, and even France, but Taurus resourcefully put Brazil on the map.
