In the Rider-Waite tarot, Thoth and other decks intended for divination (reading), all 78 cards have distinct images. In my experience tarot reading by a sincere practitioner is effective. It’s not a sham nor joke., and it works. Yes, the field of tarot does contain schemers who use tarot cards to rob, cheat and deceive.
Why do some tarot readings not make sense?
First, let’s talk about why some Tarot readings don’t make sense when you first interpret them. A confusing reading may be a sign that you’re unconsciously aware of a situation. That is, you don’t know what you don’t know… yet.
Even if your Tarot reading doesn’t make sense, write down exactly what you see in the reading. You might want to highlight the messages that you don’t resonate with straight away, knowing that you can come back to these at a later stage. As time passes and your situation unfolds, come back to your reading.
What happens in a tarot reading. Most tarot readings start with a question or area of focus such as career or relationship. The question can be as simple as Tell me what I need to know right now. The person asking the question is the querent. The person reading the cards is the reader. They can be the same person.

I therefore believe it’s important to keep a note of all tarot card readings, and to be detailed in what was said. This is particularly so if we’re doing readings on a weekly basis.
