The new Taurus G3c builds on the proven foundation that has made the compact G-series among the most popular personal defense/EDC handguns ever while advancing function, reliability, and durability to the next level.

Another frequently asked question is “Where is the G3C magazine made?”.

The G3c magazine harkens back to the PT111 Pro 9mm (it’s even marked so) and is made by Taurus in Brazil. It’s super slick, polished and Teflon coated.

Where are Taurus guns made?

Taurus Holdings is owned by the famous publicly Brazilian firm Taurus Armas, S. A. Taurus Armas not only builds the firearms for which it is rightfully famous, but also an incredible array of globally distributed consumer and industrial products. Taurus Holdings manufactures various models of Taurus firearms at it’s Bainbridge, Georgia facilities.

The G2c remains one of the top-selling compact handguns in the U. S, which Taurus credits to its ergonomics, performance and affordability. With a retail price of $271 for an all-black model, I’ve seen these guns under the glass counter tagged “$179.99.”.

For the common concealed carry and home defense applications of this pistol, Tritium Pro sights are expected to be a popular addition to the firearm.

What are the sights on the new G3C?

From what I’ve read, the sights on the new G3c are Glock pattern sights. The Glock front sight uses a thin wall 3/16″ hex. I don’t have one yet but I am surprised. The G2 front sight I swapped out was a slotted screw. Lakeline LLC sells the sights for the G2 and G3, Alphonse is very knowledgeable and responsive.

Why does the G3C have a Phillips screw on it?

One of the issues is a glock sight tool and front sight screw don’t have room with the machining on the G3C slide. So, even though we’re selling Truglo sights for the G3C, we add an additional front sight screw to the kit. And, we have a Phillips on it for several reasons.
